About Terence Gragston
Terence Allen Gragston, an Independent, is an official Candidate for Cincinnati City Council Terence is a servant-leader that comprehends the needs of his fellow neighbors. He has lived a life of selfless service, serving his country and community prior to running for any political office.
As an Honorably Discharged Staff Sergeant from the United States Army, Terence Gragston served 26 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning multiple awards for meritorious actions as a Team Leader where he earned the Army Commendation Medal for his actions while responding to an Improvised Explosive Device attack against his platoon. "Sgt. Gragston's skillful actions serving as a first responder helped to save the life of a fellow soldier wounded in action" and lead to the preservation of his life.
Upon completion of his military service, Terence served fellow veterans and their families at the Cincinnati VAMC, serving in many roles and earning multiple accolades including the I. C.A.R.E award for upholding the core values of the Department of Veterans Affairs. During his three year tenure, Terence also served as a Union Steward, a union dues paying member - representing Bargaining Unit Employees during contract disputes, disciplinary hearings and other grievances.
Terence is an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Gamma Lambda Chapter, where he is the Chairman for the "Voteless People is a Hopeless People" Committee. As Chairman, he has facilitated multiple 'Souls to the Polls' Voter Drives, in partnership with the Cincinnati NAACP and other local grassroots and community organizations.
Terence resides in Pleasant Ridge. He has 3 children; Terence II, Javen, and Laila Gragston. Terence Gragston is a political outsider who has the spirit to serve again the people the of Cincinnati.
